ロリュオス　Roluous

ロリュオスは、アンコールに都が移る前の都で、アンコールから南東に約13km。9世紀後半に建てられた遺跡が残っている。最古の遺跡群として、興味深い。

Roluous was the capital before the transfer of the capital to Angkor and exists about 13km Southeast from Angkor. The ruins were built late 9th century and they are interesting because they reveal the beginning of the classic period of Khmer Art.

	ロレイ。4基の祠堂を持つ。脇には、ワット・ロレイという現役の仏教寺院がある。当時は、貯水池の中央島にあった。 Lolei. There are 4 brick towers. By the Lolei, there is an actual Buddhism temple. When Lolei was built it was in the center island of reservoir which now is dried up.
	ロレイのデバター像。アンコール朝創始後間もないはずだが、クメール様式は、すでに出来上がっているようである。 Devata of Lolei. The Khmer Art Style looks like been established, even if this was made just after the establishment of Angkor.
	ロレイ。4基の祠堂から伸びる樋の中心にあるリンガ。ここから水を流していた。治水の象徴と考えられている。 Lolei. Linga exists in the center of gutter which reaches 4 towers. The sacred water was flowed on the top of Linga.
	プリア・コー。アンコールの中で最古の寺院。2003年夏時点、修復中。聖なる牛という意味で、6基の祠堂を持つ。 Preah Koh. The oldest temple in Angkor. It was being repaired at the 2003 summer. Preah Koh means "Sacred Bull" and have 6 towers.
	プリア・コーのナンディ像。3体並んでいる。ナンディは、牛の形をしたシヴァ神の乗り物。 Nandi of Preah Koh. There are 3 Nandi in front of the temple. Nandi is a vehicle of Shiva and means "sacred white bull".
	プリア・コーのまぐさ石。この時期すでにこのスタイルは確立していたということか。中央のカーラも見事。 Decorated stone of Preah Koh. This style is typical Khmer Art and it looks like been already eatablished. The Kala in center is just splendid.
	プリア・コーの金剛力士（ドヴァラパーラ）像。その上にも見事なカーラ像が残る。 Dvarapala ( guardian ) of Preah Koh. Above the Dvarapala, we can see the beautiful Kala.
	バコン。３重の周壁に囲まれた大きな寺院。環濠を有する最古の寺院で、5層の基壇からなる。中央祠堂は、12世紀頃作られたとされる。 Bakong. Bakong is enclosed by 3 enclosure walls.　It is the oldest temple which has causeways and it has 5 levels. The center tower was built in 12th century and rather slim compared with the size of the temple.
	バコンの上から参道を見下ろしたところ。左は、現在の僧院、右は僧の学校。規模の大きさがわかる。 When we look down from the top, we can understand how big this temple is. On the left we can see the monk house and on the right we can see the monk school.
	バコンのナーガのデザインの欄干。ややずんぐりしている。環濠は、今は、雑草で埋まってしまっている。 A rail of Bakong. The design is Naga but a bit thickset. Causeway is now filled up by weeds.
